At Seniors Helping Seniors North Knoxville, we have a passion for meeting the needs of seniors in a way that provides both dignity and a sense of camaraderie. Our owner Ray Bales firmly believe we can do that through serving seniors in our community, which includes: Greater Knoxville Area, Clinton, Norris, Lake City, Oak Ridge, Oliver Springs, Kingston, Harriman, Powell, Halls, Fountain City, Maryville, & Farragut. With Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services, seniors who need some assistance get just that. They can feel comfortable and confident because Seniors Helping Seniors providers offer peer-to peer senior care services that are about so much more than just getting a task done. It’s about seniors who want to help giving back to their own community by giving compassionate care and companionship to other seniors.
The senior providers who work with Lois and Ed offer home care services such as cooking, light housekeeping, personal grooming and dressing, shopping, transportation, yard work, mobility assistance, house maintenance & small repairs, doctor’s appointments, 24-hour care, and, of course, companionship.
Ed and Lois have been married for 40 years. Together, they are very active in their community and church. Combined, they have served as board members for the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce, the Knoxville Montessori School and the Family Business Institute of East Tennessee. Lois has had a very successful career as a nurse. Ed, a US Navy Vietnam Veteran, has 30 plus years of experience in finance and general management, and has owned his own Business Advisory Company for the past 10 years.

About Our Founders
Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care service was co-founded by Kiran and Philip Yocom in order to realize Kiran’s personal mission of providing care for those who can’t care for themselves. Before coming to the United States from India, Kiran worked with Mother Teresa for 14 years.
How We've Grown
From our roots in Pennsylvania, and our first match in 1998, Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home services has grown to include hundreds of locations in the US and Internationally. We continue to grow and evolve, adding new services to better assist seniors and refining our caregiver training as new industry best practices come to light.
